Held in Legend Valley, Ohio, Lost Lands 2024 took fans on a prehistoric journey of bass and lasers, leaving them in awe of the production and sheer scale of this year’s show. With 48 lasers meticulously synchronized to the music and stunning aerial beam effects, Lost Lands 2024 harnessed the latest in laser technology to give fans an unforgettable experience yet again.
Laser Show Technology
One of the most standout aspects of Lost Lands this year was the impressive laser setup on the main stage, featuring 48 systems of KVANT Spectrum 33 lasers and Atom 42 lasers. Known for the durability, brightness, and low divergence, these systems have become a top choice for large-scale shows. At Lost Lands, these systems were strategically positioned across the entire stage, creating a 3D lightscape that immersed the audience from every angle. Whether fans were standing in front of the stage or dancing further back, the lasers shined bright over the whole crowd.
Each of the lasers were equipped with integrated FB4 control hardware, ensuring seamless operation and synchronization across the massive laser network. The FB4 interface allowed for real-time control and enhanced flexibility, critical in a festival setting. The lasers were controlled using Pangolin’s BEYOND software, an industry-leading choice known for its reliability and advanced capabilities in laser design and control. With BEYOND, show operators could pre-program intricate patterns and cues, setup safe zones, and ensure laser movement was perfectly timed to the music. The software’s real-time modulation capabilities allowed them to adjust effects on the fly, ensuring a dynamic, unique, and reactive show.
