Technician Laser Safety Glasses
The Technician glasses have been selectively chosen to provide the technician with good power reduction, averaging an OD of about 1.7 over the visible spectrum. Resulting in about 2% visible light transmission.
This does this in a very even way across all the wavelengths used in our entertainment lasers. This allows technicians to work on the entire spectrum of colors within their laser with the same reduction and safety without having to worry about one color overpowering the others, or colors being missing.
This includes common OPSL modules of 462nm (Cyan) 577nm (yellow) 590nm (Amber/Orange) and 607nm (Orange). This is the perfect set for the workshop or general show environments where there is desire to maintain the brightness and color balance between each laser but just attenuate the power down significantly.
Note: These glasses will block nearly all “UV” laser wavelengths that may be used in show projectors including 405nm and 375nm.
Note: Just because the beam is not visible doesn’t mean it’s not there! Always take care when utilizing laser safety glasses as high-power lasers aren’t just an eye hazard but a burn, and fire hazard.
